The 24 Hours of Le Mans delivered everything you'd expect — drama, attrition, and moments that define careers. For Roman De Angelis and the No. 009 Aston Martin Valkyrie, this year's edition had all of the above.
The weekend started on a high note, with the team punching through to the Hyperpole showdown — Le Mans' elite qualifying session for the fastest cars in the field. It was a statement of pace before the race even began.
In the race itself, the No. 009 ran competitively and had a top-10 finish in its sights. Then a suspension issue intervened, dropping the Valkyrie several laps down and reshuffling the outcome. The team fought on regardless, bringing the car home to a 14th-place finish.
In a race as brutal as Le Mans, finishing is never a given. The pace was clearly there — and when the pieces fall into place, so will the result. On to the next one.
