The Heart of Racing’s No. 23 Aston Martin Valkyrie, piloted by Roman De Angelis and Ross Gunn, secured a P11 in the IMSA Weathertech Sportswear Championship - Round 10 ‘Battle of the Bricks’ in Indianapolis, IN.
After the team qualified P11, De Angelis took the reins in the final with Gunn finishing the race. It was a hard fought battle with the team in the top 6 for most of the race but they experienced some bad luck with a late pit stop and yellow which eventually had them falling back into P11 for their finish.
Both De Angelis and Gunn expressed disappointment with the ‘tough’ and ‘unfortunate’ finish but praise the work of The Heart of Racing team.
Roman and The Heart of Racing No. 23 Aston Martin Valkyrie head to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the Petit Le Mans on October 9.
